Having a good support system in college and life in general is important. You need those positive words and vibes around you. You also have to be positive. It's not easy and it is hard work but you can do anything you set your mind positively on doing. Sometimes you may be your own biggest cheerleader. You have to speak life.
Having a good support system is always great when starting college. People see “support system” and automatically think it has to be family, but your support system can be made up of any set of individuals as stated above. I was working and going to school full time and having that support of my family to watch my child or giving me a place to lay my head for a quick nap was always helpful because I stayed over an hour from school.
